Position Description

We are seeking a Drone Manufacturing Technician responsible for fabricating, assembling, and maintaining drone / uncrewed aircraft vehicle (UAV) systems and components utilizing composite materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate, assemble, and maintain drone systems and components
  • Operate CNC, Drill Press, Soldering Iron, 3D printers, and other equipment as necessary
  • Leverage CAD and 3D printing software to create parts
  • Inspect and test completed parts to ensure conformance to specifications
  • Prep surfaces and clean up parts
  • Collaborate with other teams to integrate systems and components into the manufacturing process
  • Collaborate with engineers on manufacturing approaches and optimization strategies
  • Support the creation of manufacturing production systems
  • Assemble, integrate sub-system components, and inspect drone systems
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of related experience in fabrication, assembly, and maintenance
  • Ability to learn new skills and work with a team
  • Comes to work on time and works hard to accomplish project goals
  • Proactively seeks work out to complete
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures
  • Strong problem-solving skills

Additional qualifications:

  • Prefer those with prior experience in composites, CNC, 3D printing, sanding, and cutting machines.
  • Prefer those with a proven track record of succeeding in fast paced environments while still meeting quality requirements
